Default Extra PSU Wires? Can I ?

Was wondering.. I have a couple PSU's with extra wires coming out of them but I am not sure what they are for.. What I was wondering is could I use them for power? like to power a baybus or CC's? Any thoughts?

There are lots of wires coming from a PSU, doubt if any of yours are extra. Which ones in particular are you talking about and what do they look like?

Well it really doesn't matter which ones as long as the mobo cords are pluged in. if you want to use it for power you are going to need to yank off the molex connector that you don't want and replace it with th type of molex you want. Not reallly all that hard go to a techie shop or a website that sells them. I am just guessing you want to use them for scsi power or lighting power.
And just cause I know you'll ask about what wire is what.
RED- +5V 25 A
Yellow- +12 V 12 A
black- com Return

Don't what I just wrote don't touch, I repeat do not touch the damn cords. and Defiently don't mess with your mobo cords namely your ATX, ATX12, and P6. Messing with these will throughly piss off your computer.

With all due respect (and I do respect you guys as mod kings bigakita, Putwig)... I really dont consider myself that much of a n00b Also, I do know the main wire layout and voltage's (Aquawave) but thanks.... What I do not know much about are the extra PSU wires/connection plugs a couple of my PS's have.. Pictureswhich I attached here should show you what I am talking about.. I just got done sleeving it with expandable cable sleeve from Advanced Auto .... Its a pretty sh*tty job but its my first so dont when you see it.. but I would like to know if this plug (as it has no good use other than taking up valuable space in my case... Thanks guys...

Hmmm ?? I am running a P4 2.2 but my board does not have a port for that cable ? Its an Elitegroup P4VXRSD2... btw here is my first hack at cable sleeve's

(the blue tape is because I bought cheap Rat Shack heat shrink (expensive but cheap quality) and it did not like a lighter so my next investment will probably be a heat gun...

Yes, you can use them for other things. The 4 hole plug has 2 12V lines and 2 grounds, 1 and 2 are grounds, 3 and 4 are 12V. The 6 hole plug has ground on pin 1, 2, and 3; 4 and 5 are 3.3V, and 6 is 5V.

Thanks BoCoMoFo

Good observation bigakita , BoCoMoFo

and yep its a 300... The job was ok but not to my liking as the heat shrink was poor quality ... It was mainly for a learning experiance before I did the one for my current case project...But I did find that it is really not hard to do.. just time consuming and sometimes agrivating... dang sleeving kept freying alot even though I scorched the ends.. anyway Next one will be the 400 with the 2 extra power connectors pictures above (4 and 6 pins) for my current pimp project system (P4 2.2Ghz)will be green sleeves Just have to find a place here that sells quality heat shrink... also going to get a heat gun this time around for more uniform shrinkage....

If you have quality heatshrink tubing, the heat gun is totally unnecessary.

Couple quick passes with a lighter and it will shrink nice and uniform, and will not scorch.

That Ratshack crap barely qualifies as heatshrink!

Do you have any suggestions on the best place to get heat shrink and a good color selection of cable sleeves from the same place.. I have found these places

http://www.wirecare.com/wc_splashpage.asp
http://cableorganizer.com/flexo-pet/

but do you have any better suggestions?
