The short story..

I've been scouting for local Airbush/Custom Painter to work with me. I needed to eliviate my time spent on painting to concentrate on new developements. It was important this individual shared the same visions I do. Growth through originality, notoriety, and efficiancy. After spending an enjoyable 1.5 hrs with Lin Anderson this morning talkin custom paint, cars, choppers, chicks... We decided to make a run at this combined partnership.

First thing on agenda...

What would you like to see offered as paint options on this case?

No copyrighted images ie: games, corporate & company logos

Flames?? or Patriotic, Skulls, Tribal, Dragons, Fantasy, Ghouls, Girls, Aliens, Scallops, Monsters, Military, WWII, Futuristic... ???????

Something related to Doom III, a WWII theme would be nice for a dedicated WWII game rig and dragons are always cool.

Well, since you are already doing a Pink Floyd themed mod, I feel the only logical progression (just like on a radio station) is to go on to a Led Zeppelin theme.
Of course, that is just my opinion.... something with the Celtic Imagery from the Houses of the Holy album perhaps?

So this is possibly going to be for production and not a one-off like The Wall rig? Well that does change things a bit. Lemme give it some thought. [thinking cap]

I saw that case with a chameleon-paint job, looked f***in awesome, don't have a link sorry.

I should also show you what mods are being done.. Everything, but CF film over front bezel in these pics The CF film is a PITA to apply.... So that case may be the first and last seen with it.

How about this? Since the case is called a Tsunami, why not do a hurricane theme. It would even tie in with current events.

I'd run far away from that.

I think something along the line of...shiny...perhaps an I.Robot type; robot metallic...with blues, whites, grays, and reds. Soft lines.

I'm designing a successor to FlameProof, I'd love to see one in a water theme, really detailed bubbles and waves and such.

Hmm, mabey a PR themed case. ALl the colors/tribal theme ect. That would be sweet.

By the way, thats a nice case!

How skilled are you with an airbrush? I like this with the rivets, like it was built with plated and riveted aluminum like a WW2 Airplane.

Or some ghost flames with skulls.
You can use whatever you want cause I designed and painted them

color-shifting paint and chrome jobs.

Does the winning idea get something from the room filled with tsunamis?

I'd like to see a case that embraces organic shapes. More specifically I would really like to see a case that brings true classical art into the picture. I know most classical art wouldn't look any good on a computer case. Think Leonardo Da Vinci. Create a window with a profiled head shape to it... and then etch some elaborate line art into the window. You could take inspiration from some of Da Vinci's sketches of inventions and whatnot but at the same time you could link them into our own time by making them about our own technology and paradoxes.

On the inside of the case I'd like to see duct work and lots of silver combined with blue lighting and mirrors.

As far as paint, flat black would be a cool start but you could then bombard the case with more sketches in a flat white color. As for the sketches you could go along the lines of detailed sketches of arms, hands, face, women or it might be cool to make a realistic astrology-type map.


On another note you could ignore everything above and create what would be the equivalent of a "riced out" Import. I've always wanted to see a quality computer with all sorts of intakes and vents and little wing like deals...


I almost forgot, Eyes are really cool subjects. You could create a detailed cutout of an eye in the actual metal on the left side of the case. I could throw something together vector-wise in Flash to show you what I mean and then add fine details in the etching. Ohe other side of the case you could have a detailed airbrushed eye or something (it's hard for me to think of what to do with actual paint because I think more about the shape of the design than the paint that will go over it)

microsoftman, we're talkin strictly paint jobs. Those are some great ideas, but will drive retail costs through the roof. I'm focusing on a premium fan upgrade with custom finish

Pimprig theme is conceiveable and entirely up to Glitterkill. The big question is How many of you would buy a $350 case painted in pimprig theme?
