| Apex Techie Wannabe | I'm starting on another case, but i can't seem to find a good victim... I've searched through the 50000 cases on newegg and tigerdirect, but most of them are premods, and the rest are all cheaply built or too small... does anyone know of a place (retailer or otherwise) where i can find a bigger, plain case? On a similar note, would a rackmount case fit an atx motherboard w/0 any major modifications? | |

| This is what my second PC (crash box lol) started out as. I got the case for $30 with a 300W PSU from Fry's. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...700238962&rd=1 I didnt want to spend alot of money, but I also wanted to mod the case. I liked the idea of taking a boring cheapo case and making it look good. The first thing I did was paint it silver. I added a parallel LCD that I made using the guide on this site. The spare LCD that I used has green backlighting, so I decided use green lighting for everything. It has 2 cooler master green LED fans, and a 12" green neon. I need to take some better pics. This one is old, it was taken when I was still working on the LCD. The entire case is now silver, not just the face, and the LCD panel is also silver now. Sooner or later I will make a badge for it, since the case has a place for one. | ||

| Here is what I just recently ordered for a customer. I havent got it yet but it looks like a damn nice case for the money. Appears to be very sturdy and moddable - also has the Enermax name and a power supply. Link below. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...124-014&depa=1 | ||

| I dunno what your price range is or was, but Kingwin 424 is a great blank canvas for modding. All alum panels including bezel are easily removable within minutes for painting and cutting. Good quailty throughout. My latest commisioned builds are based on this case. I think Newegg wants $89.. | ||
