Default 80mm RPM

Hey guys, im wondering if higher RPMs or lower RPMs are better for fans, what cools the best.

Higher RPM moves more air but is louder...

Lower RPM moves less but is quieter...

So get a 120mm fan and run it slower you'll move the same amount of air but it'll be super quiet...

Well I guess I kinda care a lot about noise cause I love music and 5 fans not properly controlled can sound like a fricken turboprop airplane!

Anyway more RPM uses more power is louder and moves more air
Less RPM uses less power is quieter, and moves less air

But if you get a big fan and have it a slow RPM it moves the same ammount of air as something smaller thats moving faster and using more power...

my $.02

I really care less about noise. I have about 8-9 fans in this comp now.

Higher rpm should result in higher airflow, since I doubt it will get to a speed that will induce cavitation. Fluid dynamics... Some fans are engineered to work efficiently at a given speed, so higher rpms gives diminishing returns.
