is it just me, or didn't you already make a link to your forum in a different thread? If you're too lazy to type out the information, I'm too lazy to click your links.

Tha't's a damn good setup. I like how your forum displays the totals and catagorizes the items. I'm not to lazy to click on a link seeing how its not a shameless plug.

You might want to look into the 6800GT, because of right now I believe its the best bang for your buck.

Are you going to use onboard sound? What speaker setup are you using and would it be best to throw down a few more bones for an audigy or santa cruz card,

I mustered up the courage and looked, and I must say I'm impressed. It's very nicely done, and I'm sure you'll be happy with the hardware you've selected. Looks like fun.

Let me get this straight ... you want to spend $300 on a CPU, $120 on a mobo, $340 on RAM, $320 on Hard drives, $460 on a GPU (good so far ) ... and $55 on a PSU ? And get a case that eveyone & his whippet already has?

I'm sure that setup will make you the bassmaster of benchmarks, but if that were me I'd be buying components one step back from the bleeding edge & using the leftover wonga for a much better psu, probably spend more on the HSF, & the rest on making it look good.

I don't see any mention of case fans & cabling ... not that they cost a lot, but if you're going to get it all in one hit you'll be pissed when the overheat due to carp airflow & if you have to use ribbon cables... you don't have any DVD support in that list either.

I like everything except the PSU, if you are gonna have state of the art hardware, you DEFINATELY adon't want to skimp on the power supply.

Like everyone says, get a good PSU. Look for something with active PFC. Fortron PSU's are inexpensive and very reliable. I have a 400watt I bought for something like $60.

I agree completely. Your specs are almost exactly what I am looking at for my own upgrade. Great hardware, but leaving a quality PSU out of the mix is a recipe for problems later on. Check out offerings by Enermax, Antec, Thermaltake or PC Power and Cooling. Although the X800 does require less power than the 6800 ultra, all the other gear (and don't forget all the fans/waterpumps needed to cool that highend gear) adds up to quite a bit of demand, and a cheaper power supply may not actually put out what the manufacturer states as its wattage. Sad but true.

Maybe he wants to burn 2 CD's at once. I did that for a while when making CD's for a local band.

Exactly what spectrum said. The only reason I have that PSU there is because noone on Xoxide will respond when I ask about them -_-; any suggestions as to what PSU I should get? I'm guessing I'll need quite a bit of power since I'll be using all 6 5.25 bays and I'm also looking into RAID configs with 2-3 HDD.

I made some revisions and now I have the 6800 GT on the list up there I also fixed the link to the FX-53.

Does anyone know where I can get a 5.25 bay equalizer? I've been looking for one but I don't know many sites to look on ><' For those who don't know, open up Winamp and the equalizer is the thing with a whole bunch of bars that control your sound options.
