| I used mirror tint (from AutoZone) for a small window; kind of a pain the butt to get all the bubbles out. Maybe with a bit of practice it's easier. Anyway, I finally ended up leaving the backing on the tint and attaching that whole sheet behind the window. Looks the same in my case, and no bubbles. I think the famous Macro Black case at Bit Tech uses a combination of black and mirror tint. | ||

Ive used tinting spray to tint a Crystal LE Xbox http://modzone.dk/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=279 It should be pretty easy to paint a window with that type of spray

| Thnx for the replies, but not a lot of people actually tinted their PC windows have they? I just want to know if it will look good, like on that pc shown in the link uhm forgot the name... But there's lots and lots of types of ways to tint it, foil, spray whatnot, kinda hard to choose the best option | ||

| If your window wouldn't be a huge deal to replace, you could just get a piece of smoke colored acrilyc to size and mount it. Would probably look better than an amature aplication of tint. I did this for a rig i built a friend of mine, she didn't want a window or lights or anything, but she liked green, so i used this, drilled out the rivets and rivited in a piece of smoke acrilyc. I woulda had to replace it anyway since the system didn't need 2 side fans. I used green LED fans still, just because they were cheaper in bulk becuase i was doing another green system, but the end result was great and she didn't mind a faint green glow. | ||

| Whenever i tinted windows i used the dark stuff, the lighter stuff just didnt look right. and in my opinion that for my purpose it was to stop ppl from seeing directly into my car. having said that i think tinting your window with anything more than 30% would defeat the pupose of having the window as you cannot easily see in. my .02 | ||

HEHE My trunk is 2.5% tint; you can't see in, and its liek night-time during the day. My side windows are 20% and you can see in barely but you can see out fine.

| Tinting windows on a PC can yield many awesome effects. The first of which is if you get around a 20% tint (I think that's the right amount) and have a black computer case the windows will blend in with the rest of the surface when the computer is off... but then when you turn the computer on and all the lights come on you will be able to see through the tint into the inside. You can also cut out little designs in the tint to yield even cooler effects. I cannot link you to the project I am thinking of when I tell you this because I have been banned from Bit-tech forums, but if you go there you should be able to search for it. | ||

| 2.5% thats freakin crazy man. I'm not sure what mine is, but its a metalic tint, which i really like i think its somewhere around 20% or something like that. But at nite you can see out it which is good. If you buy some tint get SunGuard Diamond series tint, its the best on the market, hellishly expensive but good. I have that on my car, and it has an aweasome heat rejection factor. | ||

| Here is one of my cases. I used a pre-tinted plexi from Fabricators Unlimited. Pre-tinted and pre-colored plexi is the best looking way to go. It also is the fastest install with no worries of bubbles, scratchs (you WILL scratch that car window tint some time), or seepage (light seeping around the edges or along the 'edges' of the plexi. ![]() This is with the 4 blue cathodes turned off... ![]() Here the cathodes are on. ![]() Here you can see the side has been removed exposing the four cathodes used. A fully tinted sheet of plexi is just a few bucks more then a clear sheet is, but it is really worth it. If you want to go the cheap route, (not to mention a cheep look) go with the car tint. If you want a professonal look, go with the pre-tinted plexi. It comes in any tint percentage you could desire, not to mention any shade of color you could want. | ||

| I mirror tinted my entire acrylic uv reactive case. It looks very nice but like people mentioned, it's a pain in the ass to work with. It took me about 8-10 hours to finish. Most of the time was waiting for the tint to dry and set. The front and rear cover were especially tough since there are so many holes. Just takes patience. | ||
