Default Lack of Space

Ok, this is my problem. Tomorrow i will be pullin out my dremel and RotoZip and start cutting into my case. I will be cutting out a piece on the left side (already cut, but do no like the design, check gallery for pics) and will be cutting the same design on the opposite side. Well since the clear plexi was molded and formed to my old design i can not use it, so i decided to replace it with tempered glass. but i planned on the opposite side to frost the glass and back light it with green lights, but with the addition of the glass it cuts down the space between the panel and mobo plate to pretty much none.. about 3/16 inch. i need some suggestions as to what kind of lights they have out there that are slim or some other type of lighting would work. since its frosted you wont see the actually light..

Once again this forum rocks.

You could always mount a regular cold cathode in a location with some space and use reflective film to shine the lite to your frosted glass.

What about El sheet? I googled & http://www.beingseen.com/ was one of the first links

edit - holy carp that's expensive ... $108 for an 8" x 11" piece

Um ... how about UV reactive paint on the inside of the glass, and an external UV source?

How about LED's? They should fit in there. You can sand them down as much as you want, just make sure you dont hit the little filament thing in there.
