| You could do that but chances are they will probably sound like azz - the number to watch is ohms. Check your current speakers and/or the output of you receiver/amp and your rigged speakers should be the same ohms.....certain damage to occur if you do not match these figures up. More "load" and you will certainly burn your shat up - less and Im not sure what happens.....just dont do it. | ||

| You can hook car speakers to a home sound system just like regular home sound system speakers. When I moved to Denver after high school, I hooked 4 Jensen Triax speakers to a stereo I had in my apartment. It wasn't true surround sound cause I don't think it was invented yet, but it sounded good. But then again that was 22 years ago. I'd go for it. EDIT: I had mine in cardboard boxes cause that was all I could afford at the time ![]() | ||

| Although those Sony's are prettty good, never base speaker purchases on appearance, some of the best looking speakers sound like sh!t. You could only have TV sound externally if the TV has an audio output, or if the device your cable/sat/etc. has an audio output you can connect to the speaker amplifier instead of connecting the device's audio output to the TV. What amp will you be using with the sony's? | ||
