I am currently tryin got figure out what to do with my case. It is going to be my first real mod, even though I did do some shoddy work on it (it was done awhile ago).
I helped a buddy of mine put this box together and he happily used it for quite some time. It was built right when the first athlon xp came out (i don't remember exactly when that was but it was a few years ago). It has 2 92mm holes on the top and 2 92mm holes on the side along with 2 60mm holes (ACK! I KNOW!!). The work is very terrible (it was done by 2 16 year olds messing with tools we didn't know how to use haha!) But the case is big. It was mighty spendy if i remember correctly and we dove at it with no reguard of cost. Well now I am 20 and willing to spend a bit more time getting it right. The rig has been out of commission for a year now and I was given the case back just recently (it was sitting in my buddies basement).
It is the old Inwin Q500 Full Tower. Taller than the Antec/Chieftecs baby! Yea!
I am pretty sure I want to just zip off most of the side panel and do a window mod. I also plan on painting this big guy. It is going to be my first attempt to do both so wish me luck. I've gotta buy an RTX pretty quick to get started as I have no real tools at the moment other than a few drills but I am looking for suggestions on what the heck I might do to this bad boy. Have any of you guys done Inwin case mods? If I remember correctly, they used to be pretty popular.
