| I would imagine though the only differences would be torque and lifespan of the stock brushes for the motor. Im guessing they are all identical inside and interchangeable so that would make a moot point. I would imagine then all being equal it would boil down to price, Air intake postions vs Hand grips, and other than I could only think the distinguishing factor would be what you get when you buy the item, for example how many cutting discs, reinforced or regular, or what have you. Torque First Durability second And if there is a price difference on equal products then that is third taking into consideration what you get for bonus parts. Now if one would make a Flexigrip extension piece for under 20 bucks Id buy it in a heartbeat... you know, the flexible shaft pen grip dremel attachment... I cant just spending 30 bucks on something that only lets me grip it smaller.... your still not getting into tighter cutting areas. | ||

| Personally I now use a B&D RTX.I have owned several different models of Dremels, still have a few, and the RTX blows them away, much smoother, quiter, faster, made better and a little cheaper and doesnt stall like my Multi-Pro does under load. Most people buy Dremels because its now a universsal word used for Rotary Tools, and when they go to look for a "rotary tool" they see Dremel and "OH thats what I want" even though there are many other brands, and some happen to be better. If I were you I would buy the RTX, you will be very happy with it. OR, buy both, try them out and return the one you dont want. | ||

| how about jigsaws? i know a few people have quite a bias against them, but i myself prefer it to a "rotary tool" for cutting large areas. there are different types (some have fixed blades, others have ones that rotate independantly of the actual tool), and then there are different bits. i personally like the fixed blade ones with a smoother metal bit. there are bits that have really small teeth, and ones that have bigger, but i like the in between. not to mention, there are plenty of other tools that are used. from sanders, to buffers, to drills and bits. | ||
