Default How do these look?

as some of you might know I have been having some serious cooling problems lately. I took this screenshot of my voltage/fan/temp monitoring system - i'm not much of an overclocking fanatic (in fact i'm even anti-overclocking), so i know very little about cpu voltages and **** like that.

the rig is:

athlon xp 2100+
512MB GEIL Value PC3200 DDR
Radeon 7500 L.E.

do all the values look normal (aside from the really high temp - high imo)

CPU fan speed seems a little low unless that is intentional.

yeah, that looks slightly high. since you don't overclock much i'll assume you're at stocks speeds. but my question is are you using the stock cooler that came with the cpu? mine is the stock cooler for a 2500 at stock speeds and my temp under load is 52C from MBM and 42C in bios. it's just a thought but maybe you're using a bad hsf unit? also, did you use thermal grease?

Values look fine, with the exception of the vCore...why not 1.65vt.?
What are you using for CPU cooling?
and list your clock speed, FSB, etc.

well, yes, there are case fans but when i put the sides on the case the temps go up higher.

the reason that the cpu fan speed is low is cuz I've got it rigged up with a Vantec Stealth moving about 125CFM (it is on full speed)

My system is an athlon xp 2100+ I think it is a 133 mhz fsb... but not sure... perhaps 200... i don't think so though.

Is that a T-Bred core or Palomino core?
The Palimino cores seem to run around high 50's to low 60's C with the stock HSF.

Grab CPUID and check to see wich version you have.
Below is a pic of my work P-4, its says CODE: NORTHWOOD

It should tell you there wich version you have

ran cpu ID and it says it is a Palomino

so, that explains the high temps... sort of...

the only problem is that when I run the processor at 2100XP rates (that's stock speed - not overclocked at all) I get a "STOP" windows error as windows is about to open to welcome screen.

what the ****? this ****ing sucks...

could this be caused by a problem with the processor?

i agree with sexy. it's hard to keep straight who's saying what. anyways, back on the subject. if you didn't overclock your cpu then your fsb couldn't be 200. at stock speed only the higher bartons carry those

Dude, 1.76 VCore and you're wondering why you have temperature problem? Standard voltage for your CPU 1.65V. Bring VCore down a bit in your BIOS settings and your problem will disappear.

I brought down the VCore only to get a stop error... I did that a long time ago. I'm not sure about why my mobo has the VCore up higher as an "Optimum" setting in the BIOS when there are only "Optimum" and "Fail-safe" - but they do.

already fixed that.
