| I got this water chiller a couple of weeks ago and I dont know what to do with it. I want to build a complete water cooled system inside with the cooling system chilling the water. So,lets build this thing off all the ideas you guys can throw at it.Lets make it a PimpRig project. Its going to the next Stompfest as a BF Vietnam server. So credit will be given to all who participate. | ||

| First of all, what kind/size of case you want to put it in, i would say take more picture...some of that water tap thingy striped down so we have an idea of the size of the "chiller" and a picture of the case. This would be so pimp if PR can help you pull this off. ![]() PS: what kind of guitars are thos ? I can make out a fender becuase it kinda looks like mine, but i know nothing about guitars... ![]() | ||

| Lokie's Personal WU-Hoe | Some dimensions would probably be of some help to people with ideas, this will give us a clue at how much space there's to work with. ![]() The only idea that comes to mind right now for me is to get rid of that beige somehow, paint it a different color, replace most of it with acrylic, just do something! | |

| only thing coming to mind for me at the moment is... According to what type/color of fluid you use it would be kool (if using UV reactive fluid) if you could seal a UV CCFL (or 4 ) and place them in the center of the upper water chamber/resivoir.... It could make for some kool eye candy... Not sure what you could do with the hot/cool taps... first thought is a switch but god forbid someone gets close enough to test if it still puts out water (server goes down in middle of BIG game... very hurt person.... )Maybe you could make a plexi type security cover for them.. and even intergrate them into the water cooling somehow? hmmm ![]() | ||

| I have one of these at my house. The coils that heat the water makes the unit quite hot. I would be worried about internal temps unless you're going to completely take that part out. I was kinda thinking, maybe you could do everything you stated, but still have a hot water dispenser to make the ramen for those late night lan parties. | ||

It will all be put inside what you see. The chiller is still inside.I will have some more pics shortly. The guitars are, left to right, Oscar Schmidt Delta King, Feder American Standard Strat,Brownsville Flame top, and to the right of that is a Epiphone telecaster copy(not pictured)

Actually this one doesnt seem to get that hot.The hot water tap is only for room temperature water.I dont think heat will be a problem.

Oh, the one I have puts out close to boiling water. Are you planning on it to have water dispensing capabilities?

| An idea that I've been tossing around a while is having the tubing bulging out the sides so that it kinda looks like veins (with dark red dye). It just wouldn't look right in a tower case and it would mean having the tubing longer than is necessary, but in a circular enclosure like that, it would be entirely possible although the tubing may have to be longer and you would need a pump with a large head, as that thing looks pretty tall. Either that or just run it in a seperate loop just pumping the water. Combined with your paint skills, it might be something to think about. Another idea would be to make part of it into a reservoir by putting one smaller acrylic cylinder within another and maybe pump air bubbles through it kinda like those aqaurium side panel mods. My last idea for now would be going with the BF Vietnam theme and make it look like a piece of wreckage from an airplane or helicopter. I'd have to go look for pictures of equipment used back then....or just ask one of the "wise men" around here who have served and that would know. Those are a few off the top of my head. It also depends on how you're planning on transporting it, weight restrictions, metalwork experience (maybe), etc... | ||

Weight will not be an issue as this thing is going on a dolly regardless. Metal working skills are almost as good as my paint skills.I have all tools necessary, and plenty that are not. So, there really are no limits. A high head pimp will not be a problem.
