American Modder, The Series - Help

Digital Motorsports has put together a 30 min video prototype for the American Modder web series- just for sh!ts and giggles. It's pretty good, if we do say so ourselves.....does anyone know of a utility (free, preferrably) that can be used to reduce the size of the video without affecting quality that much?

In edited format 640x480 its 600MB, in compressed format its about 120MB.....

Any ideas?

I often used this utility to convert AVI video files to DVD, VCD, SVCD, MPEG1, and MPEG2. Maybe that might help.

What format is it in? because you can use vidomi to encode it to divx if you want.

Cool. Thanks for the input. I'm posting it to my site now at the 100MB size....Its just a proof of concept. We need microphones and such...but comments are welcome.

I have been talking about this exact same with Zenn for a few days now, kicking it around, I was thinking along the lines of "Monster OC Garage" meets "Lifestyles of the Pimp and Famous"

An aside dealing with announcers. Back a decade ago, the Atlanta Knights minor league hockey team [they were part of the Tampa Bay Lightning organization] came to town and held 'open mike' for game announcer. I thought 'Kewl, I can do this - even if I don't win the job'. So I go to the rink and they hand me a short script of the stuff to say.
I WAS TERRIBLEHORRIBLEAWFUL. So I give it up to anybody who can run a radio show [there are a few around here I blieve], announce a sporting event, etc.

How about a spin from the decorating shows, only because is sounds so good?

TRADING CASES (nudge, nudge) each friend and a modding "expert" hire ZapWizard or something, they trade and have 2 days to crank out cool mods for $300 or something.

I know I'm bumping an old ass thread but I just now cam across this video and I must say from a modders standpoint, I hope you never again make another episode. Leave the hardcore modding to the professionals plz

I died a little inside after watching it.

I must've downloaded the wrong file, 'cause I didn't see an "episode" there at all... Intro, opening credits, the end. Hmmmm... What I did see was a couple guys having fun with their own camera, computer parts, and maybe the car... Couldn't "NAY" it without seeing some more... My $.02...

Damn.....There goes my idea for a Pimp My Rig how-to series. Oh Well. Anyway, I have no idea what kind of file formats your going to be using, but I was gonna use Pinnacle Studio and Movie Maker(we used these at my high school last year)
