That's a more drywall application type compound. Get the real automotive stuff, since we deal in metal and plastic. Hope that helps...

Ok thanks. I know I just went through a whole can of auto bondo fixing a bad window cut. It appears I cut it a tad too big so I had to cut some sheet metal, use some jb weld to glue it to the case panel, and then bondo it to get it flush with the original metal. I guess thats what i get for not double checking my measurements. Man i really need to get a plasma cutter.

If you buy BONDO brand filler buy the lightweight stuff in the blue can.Its a little more professional quality and is easier to work with.

I dont think I have ever seen a blue can of Bondo at the auto parts store. Would this be just as good? This place is local and only a 10 minute drive.

No - that's for filling big holes, you'd need a skim of regular filler over the top to avoid problems with painting.

Evercoat does make some great filler just dont use Everglass, that is a fiberglass filler.
Get their lightweight polyester filler.

Ok I will give that a shot Luna. Let me explain a little further what i did. I cut a window too big. I then cut a piece of sheet metal and used jb weld to adhere it to the back of the panel that I cut. Ive used the regular auto bondo to try and fill in that whole area so it is even with the panel I cut. I noticed with the bondo that I have alot of pinholes. So will the stuff you recommended Luna be appropriate for a final coat on top of the bondo...a skim coat?

If you just need to fill pinholes get some Evercoat glaze.

When mixing your filler do it in a "folding" fashion to prevent air from getting trapped inside and stop working with it once you feel it start to harden, this should keep the pinholes to a minimum.
