Default Starting to mod...

time for me to start modding my case, as i finally have some money! at the moment, i have a plain jane Just 4 PC case.

very nice sturdy case, but plain. i already have a green led fan inside, so i just bought 4 more green led fans. green intake, green exaust, green psu and green card cooler (w/ 2 fans) fans should be nice. and i also plan on installing a window. will get a 13 x 13 piece of plexi glass and use liquid nails or double stick tape to tape it onto a 12 x 12 opening. final mod idea of the moment is a fan control panel. since i dont need a rheobus, im just going to create a simple controller w/ SPST switches for my 4 auxiallary fans and for the adjustment of my coolmaster xdream. what do you guys think?

Do those vents on the front go all the way through the bezel?? Cause if they do, you could put some green lighting behind them for a pretty cool effect...

I see tons of modding potential in that case. If you wanna keep it simple, just use the switch idea; I personally would take the time to pimp it, and make the rehobus just because it pays off in the end. Green is not used too often, and I really like green, so IT SOUNDS GREAT TO ME!

Lotta modding p-hoe-tential there. Just my preference but I like nice and clean mods with straight lines (no drinking and dremeling). Dont overdo it either....hate it when people see how many diff colors of cathodes they can cram into one case....eck.

the vents dont go all the way, but i will dremel them so that they still look the same but allow more light in.

[i mean more light out]

Sounds like a good plan to me

Have you considered a window a different shape than just square though? You could echo the shape of the power /reset buttons and/or the front vents

From the look of the vents, and the shape of the power/reset buttons (plus the fact you mentioned you were using green) an "Alien" type theme comes to mind.....

Like cut the window in the generic alien head shape, and etch the two big eyes into it so they kind of glow......and then you could maybe do some UV stuff in there as well (Green reactive stuff maybe??). Paint the outside case black, maybe do some chrome sleeving inside (or just stick with green...maybe too many colors and such with chrome also).

These are just thoughts that go through my head, take what you like, if any

Glad some of my ideas are helpful, btw....are you planning on painting the outside at all or are you not interested in that?
