I Have come to find myself in a bit of a bind. i really love the idea of the Sunbeam Chameleon Lighting Kit but have some trouble finding it (everyplace i look has discontued it). and also don't really like the idea of filling a 5.25" bay with a silver (or black) light controller (mainly because i have a sunbeam clear acrylic case) and it would look really bad. i was wondering if anybody knew if there were any other kits out there that were similar but with maybe (pci) expansion slot controls or maybe asist me in building something of the sort. any help would be appreciated.

I bet you can't find that Sunbeam Chameleon anywhere because they were bought up very quickly. I should know - I bought three kits. I installed one in a Lian Li case along with some cold cathode lights. The Chameleon's LEDs are overwhelmed by the cold cathode lights however and it's hard to notice these LEDs. I recommend you don't mix them within the same sections of a case. One drawback I noticed when installing the Chameleon is that the wired connections to the LEDs is fragile - be careful not to pull on them much. I had to repair one LED that I installed. It could have been a weak solder joint to begin with, but I would consider these kits as needing extra careful handling during installation.

Now here's some good news for you. I have two more kits, one with a silver panel and one with a black panel. I don't anticipate using these kits in my current holiday build, and they have been sitting on my parts shelf for at least 5 months. I would be willing to sell one or both kits for a normal retail price (plus shipping) if you are interested. I would require payment first (in US funds) but you don't have to worry about me sending the kit or kits - I'm a man of my word.
