I just recently found a guide on how to make you own pc tech station. This is good for those modders who want to test their rigs without stuffing everything in a case all the time. So I thought I should share it here you go hope it helps someone:

Nice! I admit it's more fun that buying one (they exist, but are pricey and we would all prefer to spend that money on hardware). What do you suggest for paint (if any)?

I would suggest a color that makes the parts stand out that way you can easily find faulty wiring or missing screws.

I can't cut wood consistantly. I would not be able to build such a thing. Nice looking though! I just go with the mobo on a phone book, and everything else just laying around. Guess I am more ghetto...

I on the other hand find it very simplistic and unrefined. Function is there though.

Nice suggestion. However, the money I spent on tools and material would kind of negate any cost saving. You cannot assume everyone has the stuff you used to build your tech station.
