Question COH theme case

me and a buddy of mine are thinking of doing a COH theme case, not sure of the type of case it is but i know its a mid size case with 4-5.25 inch drive bays 2 3.5 in drive bays and 2 internal 3.5 in drive bays.

i already know we are going to put in a 120mm turbine mod in the front, but the panels are going to be a bit tricky seeing that it it a one peice(meaning the top, left, and right side are all one piece)

my question is if we window the side of the case will it warp or bend the thing if so how to cut it with out this happening

On one case i had like that i just cut the panel off from the other 2. you simply then add another hole to the rear of the panel on top and tap it and your good to go. thats what i did anyways

I might be wrong here but i'll let you know anyway. If you check it inside, you may find rivets on the joints, check around corners, inside edges of the case and so on. You could drill the rivets out, remove the sides, mod away and then re-attach them..somehow.

Otherwise if you can't do that, if the material is thin, if it warps under the pressure of your hand I would suggest maybe making a simple bracer for the inside of it? You could cut down a piece of MDF board to fit the inside of the case, make your cuts and the MDF will hold the shape of the side panels (depending on the thickness of the MDF ofc.)
Maybe even try laying the case down on somthing, maybe a large board..use your imagination! Make sure what you rest it on is somthing you don't need also make sure it's got enough strength not to buckle under the pressure from the drill.

Sooo, clamp the whole case to a sheet of MDF? drill the point of entry for the Jigsaw, then let her rip?

Don't take my word for this, alot of stuff is trial and error, just give it ago, you will always learn somthing even if it goes horribly wrong
