Momentary power switch to mobo

Fellas,

I'm a huge noob to modding but i'm giving it a try. I am wondering if i can just take this momentary power switch and wire it to the motherboard pins some how? It has 3 screws on the back side of the switch and what do i need make it work? Thanks for the help, its greatly appreciate.

you might want to post a pic of the switch or a model number , theres tons of switches out there , and with the limited info you posted it would be hard to say "just hook it up like this"

Your best bet is to salvage the two wire connector from an existing power or reset switch.
Cut the old reset/power switch off and wire to the N.O. (normaly open) connector on the switch you have described.

Ill try to post a pic i have of the wiring ,from one i did.

The switch on the top right is the power switch for the pc.
as you can see it has three connectors NO(normally open,NC(normally closed), and COM(common).
just wire to the terminal that is open(NO)and Com,you only want to close the cicuit for a moment to activate the pc .
I spliced the old 2 wire power connector to some longer wires(Red wires) for the long distance I needed to the motherboard.

U want the right type of switch tho . . .two prongs.
