Hey everyone! I've been reading these forums for a while and enjoying all the projects that are done. First, I MUST say excellent work and great job inspiring everyone out there, including myself, to do something like this. I don't remember if I ever posted (I'll find out after this), but I wanna do something now.

I have a Gateway GT4010 PC that has been literally sitting down in a corner now for almost six months. It needs to be revived immediately!!! Here is a pic of it:

Right now, I could really use some good ideas to help get me started on doing something to this machine. It has gotten me through some rough times at school, and through tough living situations as well. I owe it to this machine!!! I don't want to just put in a light and scream "Yay!", I want to give it some loving...possibly shoot for a specific theme and work from there. I am a video game fanatic so I think something along that line would be great.

So...what do you feel I should do??? Thanks! =)

O_o a btx case? Well, I'm sure other could give much better ideas, but I'd start with a paint job (inside and out) and a window. I think a internal paint job would make it pop... and a nice videocard to make it complete (is that a pci-e slot I see?)

Yes that IS a PCI-E slot! Paint job could be very helpful indeed. I was thinking of certain themes that I would like to see for this and so far, I'm leaning toward a Metroid theme case. With a window, I do have an idea of what could be either etched or laser engraved.

I'm getting excited thinking about it already!!! I think I'll go for that. Just a matter of playing through the games and seeing locations of what I think looks the best or what will look the best. For the side window, I can get half or 3/4, of samus in her suit toward the right of the window. Gotta work on a color scheme.

personally id got with the old school after you beat mother brain purple suit color......

yeah those were the days..nintendo rocked
