| I am just now starting to mod cases. Does anyone have any luck with local stores with case mod supplies? I was wondering if I took a trip to like home depot or Lowes if I would find something of use to me. Like the circular fan ducts you can find at MNPCTECH, I think they seem like something you would be able to pick up at a hardware outlet. Im not positive though. Anyone know of any places that might have some case mod supplies???? Also the like carbon fiber giant sticker siding that kind of stuff has anyone had any luck finding that stuff at say a art store or something??? Any input would be well appreciated. | ||

| While some things like glowie fans and CCFL's are mainly at PC stores , you can find "Modding Supplys" almost anywhere , its all a matter of what you see and what potential you see in it. Hardware stores, Craft stores , Junk yards, Second Hand Stores , Dumpster, Side of the Road ............ You never know where you'll find something that , in your eyes has the potential to become part of a build. Its all a question of your imagination and enginuity | ||

He's totally right - Auto stores and junkyard recycling stations were my daily haunts when I was on the lookout for parts. In saying that - When I can, I now buy from the likes of MNPCTech - because modders need to support modders - you know? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Like HTRN said anywhere, the first person to come up w/ the mod didn't get it at a pc shop. ![]() For stuff like blow holes u can use PVC pipe, a cup holder, use dryer duct for a fan duct, using used washing machine lines as water cooling lines (me lol), also i've seen a lot of speaker stuff that has been used. There might be some local stores where u live that might have moding supply's, but usually at a high rate, you'll just have to do some research. Alot of great ideas come from just browsing and thinking of ways to incorporate that into a mod. EDIT: Also i've never bought mesh for mods, i took down one of those huge satalites w/ 90% of it mesh a couple years ago for a guy if he let me keep the mesh. lol i've only used half of it. | ||
