actually its a childs coffin and yes it was best mod at quakecon

he could never use it to "Play HL2 after he dies" he wouldn't fit. His kids could tho!

I've never been a huge fan of the 'let's stick it in some other darn thing because we can" school of modding.

I've seen 'puters in the Millenium Falcon, beer kegs, toasters, pizza boxes, breifcases ad nauseum, ammo cans, and so on and so on.

While some are stylish and some just stealthy, I'm not sure I've ever witnessed another container that *enhanced* the PC's functionality.

Have you never seen the "PC in a freezer" or "PC in a mini-fridge" mods? you just toss a dehumidfier in there and then you add a pc and crank down the temp helps with OC'ing nething

I have to agree. Slapping a motherboard and hardware into this or that home appliance, toolbox, toilet bowl, etc. isn't terribly interesting to me. The Caffeine Machine, however, that's a totally different story. That's not a computer slapped into a coffe machine; it's the OPPOSITE--a coffee machine integrated into a computer case. That I can respect.

Only in rare instances have I seen the ole "slap-it-inside-something-and-call-it-a-mod" theme done well enough to earn my respect, and this coffin thing is one of them. The recent ammo box submission is one other.

Yeah the Caffiene Machine is different 'cause it DOES something - it's not just a camoflage job.

And ZapWizard's ammo box with the custom connectors for the keyboard, mouse, etc. does get props for alot of hard work. ZapWizard goes that extra mile, mile and a half, that makes his stuff pimp. Im lookin forward to his media project being complete.
