Default Rhoebus, what fans can I use?

When my rhoebus(sp) came in the mail today I got really excited and hooked my 2 tornados up to it as fast as I could... ahh so nice. Then I saw the box say that speed controlled fans couldn't be connected. Can I somehow get my thermal take voldano 9 to go on there? I don't wanna break anything I just bought so helpk me. =)

doesn't the volcano 9 have the smart fan 2?

if it does set it up to be full on... with the jumper....

then you can hook it to the fan controller.

yeah...here is what u can do *its safe but not oprofessional* u take the red and black wires of the fan...vcut them off right... then i take theadapter for the fans (the 3 to 4 pin molex adapter) u cut off the molex part so all u got is the wiring (this is used for an extension if needed) then strip all the wires and tiwst them around eachother with the according color...take electrical take and wrap it around each wire individually so that no bear wire is showing..then for additional security..electrical tape those two wires together...and connect it to the rheobus...its safe...but yet again...not professional

Just clip the monitoring wire. It will work fine.

hopefully this will all make sense

I assume the rheobus is using 500 - 1k ohm rheostats, and that each individual knob has a seperate power hook up. So if you want you can have a knob that WILL NOT have any current flowing through it.

Now you have the fan recieving power from the motherboard to allow rpm monitoring and power.

Now a (2 wire) cable will need to be made going from the variable fan controller hookup, and hooked up across the rheostat.

Now this will only work if you can have no psu supplied power going across the rheostat to potentially blow up the mechanizm that controls the fan.

god I hope that all made sense...

if the rheobus cannot have seperate power you will need to go along the lines of what WuGgaRoO suggested.
