| Direct Cool Hoe | I put mine to the back side with a piece of foam sticky tape. It insulates it from the board temp and is about 1-2C difference from the top of the CPU cooler...You might have to replace the wiring with a piece of wire from an old EIDE ribbon wire if yours is too thick... ![]() | |

| Ouch I remember that guide. Hurts just to look at it. Better to use Zennzzo's suggestion of small wire. I use a probe from a Hardcano. It has very thin wires on the probe. I just cut a couple of very shallow valleys on the zip socket and widened them a bit with a triangular jewellers file. No worries about ripping up a pin socket that way. | ||
