| Apex Techie Lite | I am looking to order my watercooling setup soon + mod my case for it and am wondering if this will be good enough to cool and stably overclock a Core 2 Duo E6400. Danger Den TDX Copper CPU Block (775) or Swiftech Apogee Danger Den DD-D5 12v Pump Danger Den Black Ice Xtreme II Radiator Danger Den Dual 5 1/4" Bay Reservoir ClearFlex 60 Tubing (1/2" ID) - 15 Feet Bottle of Green UV PC Ice Coolant (would one be enough?) 10 Plastic Clamps (or I was thinking those metal ones you use for garden hoses...they might be too big though, not sure) This is all gonna cost about 240 US...a lot of money to spend on cooling IMO. I also want to ask how well a single 120mm fan on a 12cm rad would do opposed to a dual 120mm on a 24cm rad. If it works good I'm thinking of putting a single 12cm rad in the space at the bottom of my case (rhyme ), that'll keep things easier instead of having an external rad, which would be mounted on top of the case above the power supply. See my case in my sig, and tell me what you think...Thanks buds. | |

| Drop the Xtreme and go with the Black ice pro2. It will perform better with weaker fans ( less then 100cfm) and it's cheaper on the budget with plenty of performance for what you need. For clamps I use zip ties. They come in an assortment of cool colors and are really cheap. Everything else looks good to me. Good Luck!!! | ||

| Conroe CPU's are not the heat monsters of old Intel, as far as I can tell..watercooling is not realy needed with the high end air coolers they have today. Several reviews have ben done with Air vs. Water, and the gains were not that spectacular...usually 100MHZ or less. 3.2vs 3.3GHZ is hardly worth 260$ unless you are after benchmarking scores or demad a silent PC Top choices around her are the Thermaltake Big Typhoon or Zalman 9550...also, Noctua and Scythe have realy choiceoolers for around 60$ http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets...px?i=2795&p=18 | ||
