| I've never really looked at the back of my comp while it was running until yesterday, and I noticed that the psu rear exhaust fan normally doesn't run. Though like 10 minutes later I saw it running, despite my computer wasn't running with any more of a load. But I believe the blowhole fan is constantly running because the psu never seems hot or even warm. If anyone has any input I would greatly appreciate it. Oh, and the psu is a thermaltake purepower 420watt. | ||

| Having checked out the specs for that PSU, it appears the fan does have active temperature control, but I would suggest that it isn't broken, but that maybe the temperature sensor is borked on the PSU. If you're not noticing any stability issues, then I wouldn't worry about it. Im not sure if Computerking realises how dangerous it could be just to "change it", but I wouldn't advise doing this. Try an RMA if you want to replace the unit. | ||
