| Apex Techie Lite |  X-Qpack 120mm Fan reversal!. Hi all, Just wanted to share this simple mod which just REVERSES the 120mm Exhaust fan and it drops internal CPU temp by about 5 Deg C!. Amazing effect where it seems to make sense the cool air from the 120mm is very near the Stock CPU fan of the P805D this resulted in warm air exhausted on the motherboard and leaks out of the slits around the rear connectors. Only issue is the PSU exhaust fan is nearby so if room air is flowing from inlet (now the 120mm rear) to PSU exhaust, then the right cool air enters the case. My AC was blowing in the general direction so it helped. I did not expect such a drastic improvement in internal temp but the results from SpeedFan and the external termal probs are correct!. Louder noise but not by much. | |
