Default Switching led's on a fan?

Being a total noob to the modding scene I bought a pre-mod case, or rather the AeroCool AeroEngine II, ohh well can't fix what has been done. But I want to see if I can switch the horrible blue leds out for some sweet red leds, the fan is a 140mm AeroCool fan, can't find it anywhere but it does come with the case (the fan that drives the "turbine") I've tried to get the led's out but they're not fond of that. Does anyone here have any experience with these fans?

I've switched LED's out on a fan before - you'll need to start with removing the blades to get some space to work with (http://forums.pcapex.com/537160-post30.html) then pop the LED's out and swap them with whatever you want. It's a bit of work, but doable.

Another option could be get one with white LED's and put a thin coat of clear red nail-polish over them - less hassle and will do the job
Here's the white 140mm LED fan:

Good luck!

If the LED's are in the HUB I can see taking the blade hub out but otherwise you should be able to pull them unless they have been glued in with some serious glue..... I have changed MANY fan LED's out for my own combo's and such... Its not to hard... If they are glued in you could simply put new leds in another location on the frame or drill out the originals... Or have someone do it for you even....
