Lightbulb Need help air cooling my case

Ok, I've got a Chieftec case and about 7 fans total (counting CPU, GPU, and PSU). My CPU is an athlon XP 2500 that I've clocked up to XP2800 speeds (temp went up about 3 degrees farenhiet). ANYWAY... I want to put my CPU up to 400Mhz bus speed. I did it once, but my CPU temp got around the 140-145 degrees area. It SEEMED stable, but then again I only did it for about 10 minutes. Any ideas on how I could cool this beast down?

Oh yeah! I've been readin this site for a few months now, but this is my first post, so hi!

Well, what heatsink are you using on your CPU? 62C is rather hot for a barton... overclocked or no. Also, take your time to kill Bob the Heatsink Dust Bunny every month or so... helps the cooling.

Here ya go. In my opinion the most effective way to air cool the Antec/Chieftec cases without resorting to highspeed fans. Combine it with a good Thermalright heatsink and you should have excellent results.

Well, I've got a Volcano 11 Xaser Edition w/ arctic silver 3 on my CPU. The thing sounds like a vacuum... but I've got loud speakers. When I normally run my CPU at 2800 speeds, its usually around 115 degrees F.
Thanx for the diagram, that helps! Good ideas too, thanx! Feel free to keep posting though!

These guys have pretty much set you in the right direction. Thermaltake does not make a good heatsink compare to the Thermalright brand. The volcanos run a little warm. I have a thermalright slk-800(a). I love it. i just need a better fan to put on it.

antiM, that seems like to much positive air flow.. for beter results i would take the two back fans and make them exhaust, therefore pulling more air right over the top of your cpu.

Hmm try and move your case around, get it close to am airway or something, cause fresh air HELPS. Then try and move fans around, and try and have a pttern or something not one in one out. If that doesn't help, I would go with a good water-cooling kit, involving as much copper as possible and a good pump. They also look really good with some water dye and some UV cathodes. Just some suggestions.
