Thumbs up

firstly,
WELCOME TO PIMPRIG!

There's a welcome wagon being hitched up as we speak - hold on tight!

That's a crazy case! i'd be a little concerned about condensation wrecking stuff (as well as having a 40lb (empty) case - but it looks... ummm alright

That case looks like a stripped down modified version of the thermaltake xaser, same top panel, and when you take the whole front door assembly off the xaser, it looks exact....

Of course hard drives are placed differently due to the monstrous airconditioner

I dunno, I don't think I would spend that much on an air conditioned case. You could spend the same amount on a good water setup and prolly get indentical temps.

Then again, it all depends on what you want to do with the thing. If you're gonna be overclocking with air, you could push it further with A/C in it.

Welcome. That case looks cool. I have one of these AC unit's in my Vapochill case. It's rated at 80w compared to the case's 150w. My little unit is good for a 4-5dF drop. So I'd think the case would be good for 8-10dF. Here's a link to the unit I have.

Condensations not a problem unless the components get below ambient. I dont think your gonna get that with mildly chilled air. Especially since i dont think such a product would make it through testing if it wrecked the internals.

Seems to use a lot of power.

That case has a nice look to it.
Dont waste your time,Its a peltier powered "air"chiller.Very inneficient and questionable at best
Peltiers belong on the chips ,directly cooling them, not chilling the case air.
If your serious about cooling ,then build an uber water cooling system first.
If thats not good enough then get a 400+watt pelt on the cpu and an 80 or 120watt on the Gpu.
Use a meanwell power supply for the juice, and watch those Cpu/Gpu temps go sub zero.
this type of cooling is not for the timid...major insulation is required.

Swiftech has a TEC waterkit that comes with everything you need if you wanna get those low temps. I believe it is a 320watt TEC. You could also build a bong to chill your water if you wanted to go that route.

It'll cool down EVERYTHING, which means more overall stability. A cool motherboard, hard drives, power supply, and RAM will help just as much as a cool CPU.

I've discussed this with a couple of buddies of mine who live "down under", which means
Australia... Temps can skyrocket in Summer there... especially in the Central areas.... where
temps can get over 45 degrees centigrade (shade) in Summer...

Most of them just use a (cheap) air-con to cool the room their PC is in.... one of my "bolder" friends
connected the cold exhaust from the air-con to his 120mm intake fan.... and guess what... both his PC
and room (ok..it's rather small) are nice in temperature.... And he uses one of those "mobile" units...

Costs about the same this case costs... and it's way more silent!
