I've got 4 80mms in the front (intake)(don't let too much air in, only small hole for them to take air from in bottom of front of case), 2 80mms in back(exhaust), 1 80mm on side (exhaust), and my power supply has 2 fans (one takes air from case, other blows out the back), and obviously cpu fan

| if thats your only fan, i would reconsider the location, because intake is generally more beneficial. if you have more fans, then have the blowhole be exhaust, and keep the intakes near the bottom of the case. edit: didnt see your reply about the 80mms. if the 80mm side fan is near your cpu or video card, it should definitely be intake. also, i would see if theres something you can do about increasing the airflow from those 4 80mms in front, otherwise they just sit there and make noise. | Switch the 80's to intake...blowhole 120 to exhaust, and mod a piece of cardboard, sheetmetal to deflect the psu exhaust upward. If you make the top the intake all the heat coming out of the case will rise, and be sucked back in. Especially if your case is in an enclosed space. | ||

| With the setup you have now, thats some negative pressure as its called i suppose. As was said before turning all of your 80's intakes and just using the 120 as exhaust is a good idea. The 120 does pull some bad ass air, but be warned that if your 80's are garbage get some descent ones or some descent 92mm otherwise all youve got in your case is electric eating spinners (garbage). Take some pics when youve done some mods too. | ||

My thoughts exactly. A dryer vent cover (or any number of things at home depot) could isolate the PSU exhaust from the 80mm intake below. And could easily be vinyl dyed to match the case. Also, with 7x 80mm intakes you should have ample airflow/positive pressure. You could consider slowing the four front intakes for quiet (if they are super loud). Good luck.

| yeh generally as above posts, use as exhaust, heat rises (duuuuuhhh) and gettin rid of a lot of heat through a 120mm will certainly show up on temp monitors. what 120mm fan are you using? quiet, or high CFM? *ponders* would it be viable to change all the lower fans (obviously apart from PSU) to intake so most of ehaust air goes through the 120?It would bring far more cold air, and dust, but temperature wise would it be worth it? | ||

| Zennzzo makes a nice point. He hasn't really modded the front bezzle from the sounds of it. A good mod replacing all those 80s with a 120 sounds like a smart move. Then drop in his top blow hole 120, leave the 80 intake in the side, and maybe 7volt mod the rear 80 exhausts to balance it out some. | ||

That is what several of us suggested above.
