Default Cooling parts inside the case

I found this item at the site for only $9. Do items like this really help? I'm getting ready to dive into the overclocking scene and I saw that this helps dissipate heat. Is this item worth the $9?Do items (in general) that are like this for other parts work?

I'd say yep, go for it ... not only do they add a touch of pimpness, they multiply the cooling surface area by 2-3 times, which has got to be a Good Thing

Well, they do extend the cooling area, but then again, many people claim that the spreaders will bring memory temeratures down about 1deg C at the most. So it's more flash than substance in the end. But for purposes of pimping out your rig... why not?

PS.

$3.99 a set, can't beat that.

Ya, from what I have heard, they are the best way to cool your ram. That is a killer deal at newegg, and they ship ground in like 2 days to my house...don't know how they do it.

You're most welcome. And crazyjackcracker is absolutely right--they DO have incredibly fast shipping. You're probably gonna get your spreaders by Friday at the latest.
