with most programs off, i only really had AIM on. I opened my window and took off the side panel for about 15 minutes and this is the temp i got. Probably would've gotten lower but it got cold in my room and i am sleepy

anyone else bored and wanna show us your temps like this? haha

With the snow coming down outside and the condensation on our windows freezing I'm sure I could probably match ya..... but our place is small and the wife would definitely notice if all the windows were open.... then I'd be away from the net for a month or two until I got out of traction.... then I'd have to start saving up to replace my system after she murders it..... hmmmm..... I don't think I'm THAT bored.

Maybe tomorrow when she's off at work.

Hmmm....

Case door off and windows open eh? I was getting those temps last week when the Heat went out last week....LOL (I'll try and find the link later and check my temps)

With my current configuration the CPU temp 50c, and case temp is 35c at 2.3ghz 1.75v with the case closed, running Folding @ Home.
Idle temps are 42c CPU and 32c case.

My CPU and Case temps drop only 1degrees with the side off, but during previuos testing, the CPU temps will drop up to 10c, and case temps drop 7 degrees when a house fan is placed next to the open case.

I will be doing some mods in the near future to the case cooling, I've left it pretty much box stock for now...
There is only a Tornado exhaust (at 5v) a low rpm 80MM intake, and the 2 fans in my Antec 550 watt P/S, and a Zalman CNPS-7000A-ALCU for my HSF.

It's pretty quiet when the fans are turned down a hair on the P/S

Well, I have a Duron 850 with a TT Volcano 6 Cu and an 80MM Tornado fan, if I let my PC outside at night (bad idea, condensation) I could get those temps but this is Florida, it's in the middle of February, and while people up north are experiencing really really unusually cold temperatures, people are on the beach here in skimpy bikinis sunning themselves don't ya just love global warming?

Jcarkeys did this a couple of weeks ago. I think he got his CPU temp down to 19C. It was rather crazy. The ambient was around 13 or so. Ill have to ask him today.

EDIT: I just looked at my Trillian logs and found the spot. It was 13C case and 18C CPU. Pretty crazy stuff if you ask me.

I set up a Pentium 200 by my window one December night and was getting 9*C idle temps in BIOS.
