| Direct Cool Hoe | ...So you got a phat O/C on a 2100+ AIUHB, a SLK heatsink, moderate to poor stock casecooling, and a lame window...what do you do?... You have Lokie do the dremmel work and do a window fan hole, you have Twizted mod the fanz and light the duct that Zennz built Not really pre-modz, but rather Pimp-modz... So here goes the first part... 1/4" acrylic 120mm x 120mm x 59mm fan duct...to be adapted by an 80mm to 120mm acrylic UV blue fan adaptor. The holes were made to fit flush-mount grommets. All edges were melted by sanding, polishing and buffing. ...Duct by Zennzzocool | |

| SORRY, been out all night, then went to bed for a while, it looks awesome zennz you really outdid yourself.
Lets just say 2.4GHz on a 2100+ runs hot, and 95CFM in a sealed duct to an SLK800U is my solution. Full 1GHz O/C. ![]() Last edited by TekXoID; 16-October-03 at 11:37 AM..

A solution for that will be implemented. ![]()
I will be attaching bolts going through the duct, fan, and window. The other side will be attached to something else, with small bolts.

| Direct Cool Hoe | FTaz, What I've come up with to mount anything to plexi, is prior to final assembly I use my 45degree counter bore, on both sides of the 1/4" sheet, and bore a bevel half way through. This allows for a grommet to be placed in the hole, flush on both sides and seems to eliminate most of the vibration The 120mm fan is mounted to the window and the duct is rubber mounted to the fan and the adaptor is mounted to the duct..when the side case is closed, everything is in place. Cheshiredemon, ever see a boxfan? we kinda think the air is gonna go through fairly easy, with a 120mm hole on either end and about dead air space...think about that for a moment... | |

| I see what Cheshire is getting at, the inside of the duct isn't smooth, you have 120mm in and 120mm out, but two big edges to introduce turbulence. Mod 2.0 could be a piece of 120mm tubing between two square flanges with the mounting holes, smooooooth on the inside, and 120mm of airy goodness ![]() | ||
