Everyone's favorite top-heavy videogame vixen is back. Ars checks in on Tomb Raider: Legend to see if developer Crystal Dynamics was able to revive the sagging fortunes of the Tomb Raider franchise.
It takes a leap of faith to play a Tomb Raider game. First, you have to assume that nothing made the ancient people of the world happier than creating gigantic contraptions made of pressure-sensitive switches, huge moving wheels, and hundreds of feet of chains to open the front door of their temples. The titular tombs of the game have to be the most overengineered pieces of architecture you'll ever see. If these guys were living today, we'd have those floating cities we've always dreamed about, I'll tell you that much.
