Hollywood puts some money and talent behind a serious attempt to bring the video game Silent Hill to the big screen.
The makers of Silent Hill have two things going in their favor: they're making a game based on a well-loved game franchise, and they're making a horror movie. Both fan bases tend to be pretty forgiving of what little love they get from either genre in a typical year. There's some serious talent behind this adaptation as well?Christophe Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf) took up directorial duties and the screenplay was penned by Roger Avary, who wrote Killing Zoe and cowrote Pulp Fiction and True Romance.
Does it succeed as a horror movie and a game adaptation?
