| Nearly all photo album applications can make basic image adjustments. Sometimes you need more than they can provide in order to clean up a digital image. In the first of a series of digital imaging guides, graphic artist Dave Girard introduces us to some basic image adjustments anyone can make using Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, or even the free, multiplatform image-editing program, The GIMP. We'll cover a number of goals like adjusting contrast, warming images up and reducing noise from shadows in a more accurate and controlled way. Then we'll get into advanced stuff like masking but all explained in an almost-too friendly, "why are you touching my arm?" sort of way. Digital image editing, demystified, on Windows, Mac OS X, or Linux. Dive on in to part one of the series.http://feeds.feedburner.com/arstechnica/BAaf?m=841 | ||
