Unfortunately, mismanagement by Commodore led to a rather untimely demise. After years of false starts, the platform is poised for a new beginning, as a new motherboard with PowerPC support and a new version of the venerable Amiga OS are in the offing. Jeremy Reimer picked up a Micro-AmigaOne motherboard and a copy of the OS 4 Developer Prerelease and spent some quality time seeing how the Amiga OS has evolved and what it has to offer today.
