Whether you work in the IT department of a large corporation, do some consulting in your spare time, or just have a couple of PCs of your own, there's few things worse than a failing hard drive with crucial data on it. Diskology has a veritable Swiss Army knife for everything you could need the Disk Jockey that may be able to pull you out of a tight situation.
Promoted as "The only hard disk copy and diagnostic tool you'll ever need!", the Disk Jockey is an external piece of hardware that has 8 major functions to manage UltraDMA (UDMA) hard disk drives. These functions include: hard disk mounting, disk mirroring, disk spanning, sector-by-sector copying, disk-to-disk compare, hard disk checking, single-pass disk wiping, and triple-pass disk wiping.
We got a Disk Jockey which we put to good use up in the Ars Orbiting HQ labs. In addition to trying out all eight modes, we also ran some benchmarks to see how well it performed against some other tools. Check out the review.
