With personal low expectations of my P4 to begin with, I'm preparing no doubt to score at best half that of a 6800GS (assuming the tests I can actually run %100 in hardware due to technology defficiency) once I get a faster motherboard and OC. SM2.x cards best get digging fast; hath their grave be too shallow 'time comes the prospected execution..

Don't get me wrong now, I can't wait to slaughter my card with 6FPS slideshows quite reminicent of my 9800SE in 3DMark05! -Perhaps it'll help justify the greedy need to swap it for an x1800XT in the next year or so (slightly ironic, considering I've upgraded my videocard atleast once a year since 2004, -giving little thought to the rest of my system)..

ED: Seeing as the launch is only hours away, I guess I'll be staying up to nab it before heading to bed.. I pray for 2,500+..

I want to see how the high end ATI and nVidia cards do. X1800 512MB vs. 7800GTX 512MB.

Ive been watching the fanboys going back and forth quite long enough. Hopefully this will settle it.

That will never be settled, it's like Coca Cola VS Pepsi. Its normally just a matter of personnal opinion as performance is normally very similar in high end cards.

Hmmm.. Wish I could've stayed up to DL it.. (Stepdad wanted me to turn the computer off because it was too loud; I respect this and agree/ really need to vaccum the fan/vents soon because it IS making funky noise)..

Hmmm.. Seems all around the board right now, the one x850XT PE that did upload so far got about 2250 (indeed similar to 9800 in '05), though the 6800Ultra I see scoring anywhere from a tad higher (2300-ish) to twice as high (4500+) -Definately the story of Ti 4800 vs 9700Pro in 3DMark03 all over again.. Heh'

hmmm I have the installer downloaded but it won't install? I click to run the installer and get an hour glass for a few seconds and then it goes away... like I never clicked it to install. Any of you running a dual core CPU that has installed this successfully?

Necro did but I believe he got it from Futuremark. I am downloading it from them right now but its super slow even though I purchased it.

Duh! The installer wasn't completely downloaded hahha... I'm such a n00b.

Fileshack is worth the subscription... i can ALWAYS get stuff from there super fast. Downloading the installer again at 1,060 KB/sec.

I went to GURU of 3-D, it was a free download and I was getting around 650K/s download speed
