What benchmark app to use?

Alright, im new to this scene, so any help would be appreciated. I did a search but was unable to find the answer to my question.

I have figured out how to OC my NF7-S through the sticky (very nice

) But now i want a way to benchmark to see how stable i am. I know i can run games to see how well they improve, but i thought this might be more accurate? I haven't OC'd my NF7 yet, but will be this afternoon. I just wanted to have a way to test it afterwards to find a stable median. Any advice or re-direction (if this has been discussed b4 somewhere else) would be much appreciated

Some Popular CPU/Memory test include Super Pi, SiSoft Sandra, PCMARK 04 and 05

Popular video test are 3DMARK 01,03, and 05

You might also want to get CPUZ, its a handy tool

And I use SPEED FAN to monitor temps, the chartiing tool is great!

i havent used all the programs for benchmarking but 3d mark and pc mark were very easy to use and work with. so i would check those out for sure.

A nice addition to this list is Aquamark, though it doesnt run on my new computer...

I would have listed Aquamark, but there no longer supporting the Online Browser, and it's starting to show it's age, I can break over 100K on it

Prime95 would be your best bet for stability testing. SiSofts' Sandra is good for determining theoretical, synthetic benchmarks.

True, its a shame really. I'm a about 82K, I got it to work.
