Default 3Dmark03 corrupt dll's?

Benchmarking problem. I am trying to get 3Dmark03 to run on my new PC to test the setup and also allow me to look at clocking my Graphics card. However when I download the file and install I can run the test but it will freeze when it gets to test 3 saying that one of the dll files is corrupt (test two is painfully slow with 2FPS in some places ) and will not continue??

I thought the download or the CD might be screwed but I used two different sites to download from and burned on two different CD's.

I have:
Windows XP SP1a (installed and changed from an earlier version)
Geforce FX 5200
Nvidia drivers version 66.93 (I think this is the latest)
P4 Mobile 1.8ghz @ 2.52Ghz in an ASRock P4VT8+ mobo
(I am running the above in a deskop)

any thoughts or ideas would be greatly apprciated, oh and I do have DirectX 9c installed

You probably have:

A weak power supply

The overclock set to high

Your system is overheating.

Or a driver conflict.

The last one is most likely, try removing your vid drivers, run driver cleaner, and reinstall.

Thanks Solid, I'll try the drivers side of things. Also my bad they aren't the library files that are corrupting its dds files.
