WTF.....noboy said anything about WAREZ......all I see is ISO. How is that a bad thing. Hell maybe the guy is download a Linux distro. This attitude that we cannot talk about anything related to WAREZ is horrible.......what the hell is next, ZIP files. You know when you download keygens and hacks they usually come as ZIP files - lets not talk about them anymore. Last time I checked this is all called FREE SPEECH........cheez and rice. Rant over...

Yeah but atleast we CAN - look at the similar threads at the bottom of the page....first similar thread Linux ISO file?........where did this ISO thing being related to WAREZ pop into your mind. Nothing was said about WAREZ. An ISO is just a file format - nothing more....dont make it out to be something it isnt. Now if he was talking about WAREZ and said something related to WAREZ I would be with you on this but cheez stop being so uptight. What does my join date have to do with anything???

| well thank you godfoot for giving me the benefit of the doubt because i was talking about a mandrake linux ISO that i had downloaded quite some time ago but couldn't figure out how to get it to work. i tried the nero thing already because one of the options in the wizard is burning ISO's but it didn't seem to do anything different to it. | ||

Use the Burn Image selection - should be on the first pull down menu. Burn it - and it should work fine. Don't even know how to use the wizards on nero. I always click em off.

| If you are using version 5 or 5.5 follow these instructions: First, open a new compilation window. Choose CD-ROM (ISO) in the left pane. In the multi-session tab choose no multisession option. In the ISO tab, choose Level 2, Mode 1, ISO 9660, Joliet, and I generally check all 3 of the relaxed ISO restriction options, a slow write speed (I generally don't burn ISOs over 8x speed for quality control), and Disc-at-Once. Then click on the File menu and choose Burn Image. Navigate to the ISO image you want to burn and choose it. This will bring up the Write CD window. You won't have to navigate out of the Burn tab that should be showing when this window opens. Verify the settings are the same as what you just chose previously then click the Write button. Of course, if you are using a Mac then the directions are probably different and shame on you anyway. | ||

| I know it is kinda late but why not mount the ISO to a drive??? I mean Alcohol 120% makes virtual drive for you, you can have like 6 from 120% and like 8 from clone cd so just mount it. I make images of all my games that require the CD to run. It is a big waste of time running around looking for a disc so you can place it in your drive when it can be mounted. If you need help PM me the process is EASY. | ||

Kind of useless to mount the image, when you are going to install linux on a different box, than the box you mount the image on. You need the 3 CD's to install Mandrake. Unless you make a floppy boot, and do a network install of linux. I always use Alcohol 120% to burn my linux ISO images to CD. Right now I just downloaded the newest Slackware 9.1, 2 CD's, and in the process of installing it on my p2 266 box.

| Oh didn't know what he wanted to do with it but still nero, Alcohol 120% and a number of others will still burn them easily. i love my nero 5 it has the option to burn and iso right under the file menu nothing beats that when you find yourself backing up your cds all the time. ![]() | ||

| I use ISOBuster (for legitimate purposes only). I havent come across an image file it can't open. Just load the image in ISOBuster and you can drag the contents into a folder for burning or just run and install whatever it is from folder. Quick and easy. Here's the link: http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ | ||
