Internet Root Servers Hacked!!!

Don't know if this has been posted, or if anyone else knows yet, but one of my CIS teachers told me about it. Supposedly, 3 of the 13 worldwide internet root servers went down after being hacked. More on the story HERE.

I wonder how this compares to the attack that took down Blue Frog. That one was truely scary, and keeps IT manager up at night in cold sweats.

From what I've heard, the attacks weren't enough to do anything but make them unresponsive for a short while, didn't take them down completely. Hackers underestimated their opposition.
