LCD drivers?

Hey, recently aquired Viewsonic 19" Widescreen

, has a driver cd.

So, do I need these? Do they do anything?

I'm new to the whole lcd thing.

I would not think you would need them but i am not 100% sure, i have 2 Sony 19'' LCD'S and when i hook them up they played fine, the only thing i notice is when i did my windows updates it installed drivers for my Sony's LCD'S, i would try it with out it and go to windows updates and see if windows install updates for your Viewsonic.
