![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Just curious as to what kind of music everyone is currently listening to.... At the moment these are on pretty heavy rotation: --UPO --Bile --Green Day --Lynard Skynard --Mozart ( P.S. Anyone more experienced with Mozart...could you please recommend some of his best works? I recently switched from Chopin. It's amazing how many melodies this guy pumped out in his lifetime.) --And Scottish bagpipe music (don't know any particular artists) is also thrown somewhere in the mix.

| Key Hoe | Right now, I have ave maria playing. I don't particularly like it, but it's nice every now and then. I currently have the classical music play list out, playing everything from mozart to stravinsky. I'm quite fond of Richard Wagner and Richard Strauss, I'm a big fan of the whole late romantic period. The other play list is shauks mixes, and in the car I listen to whatever my sister wants to, since she's the driver. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, since I listen to a large variety of genres, I pretty much stop on any XM Radio station that has a good song/tune/opera/etc. on it. Been mostly listening to Deep Tracks (classic rock) and The Move & The System (electronic music). I am really beginning to like King Crimson a helluva lot lately. I had heard a couple of their songs in the past but have been hearing them more since I got XM. Anonymous: For good Mozart music you can pretty much pick any of it as he waas a musical genius but my personal favs are his horn concertos, violin concertos, and piano concertos. If you liked Chopin for piano, you should definately check out some of Mendohlson's piano stuff.... complicated and intricate for the most part. I agree with jcarkeys as far as Wagner is concerned, excellent imagery in his music, especially Flight of the Valkyries. My favorite classical work for imagery though is Holst's The Planets and is definately worth checking out. But I also listen to jazz, blues, some hip-hop, some country (RIP Johnny), classical, ska, industrial, new age, you get the picture. If it is good I will listen to it. |

| Apex Master Tech Apprentice | My newest favorites are: Two Story Double Wide (2sdw.com) They call themselves "Alternative Cow Punk". I dunno, but I like it. Also, since you mentioned bagpipes... "Bad Haggis" is Eric Rigler (he did the piping on Braveheart and Titanic). See them at http://www.badhaggis.com/ And "The Wicked Tinkers" "BAGPIPES, DRUMS AND DIDGERIDOOS IN YOUR EARS" Find them at http://www.wickedtinkers.com/ |
