'Most Dangerous Toys' 2006

W.A.T.C.H. Says: W.A.T.C.H. OUT! ! These popular shoes, which have "removable" wheels in the heels, turn children's sneakers into a type of in-line skate. The manufacturer cautions that Heelys "can be dangerous", yet these items are marketed to children who are unprepared for their associated risks. Moreover, since these "skates" are also marketed as footwear, they are often sold and used without any protective gear.

The consumer group W.A.T.C.H. has unveiled its annual list of the most dangerous toys. The group says these toys represent the top ten hazards to children. |

If that's as dangerous as toys are these days I think the toy industry are doing pretty well.

Ya, that bow and arrow set has been around for at least 50 years i can remember, but im sure someone has lost an eye or at least bled a bit to it, it all comes down to just not buying it if it seems unsafe for your kids.

those skates piss me off. I can't tell you how many kids I see blowing through malls and shopping centers wearing those.
