| I was not sure where to ask this or post this, Ok this started yesterday after noon when i was trying to log into pcApex website, i kept getting page could not display well my first thoughts was the server might have been down so i contacted some fellow members here via MSN and they said no it was not down they where on it, so i was stumped on this since i knew i was on that mourning with no problems so i said ok let me see if i can get on any other websites and i did with no issues whats so ever, i mean i could surf the WWW and get into any site i wanted with no problem so i am same to my self WTF is going on, so i tried a couple other things like trying a different web browser i tried Opera and FireFox and still had nothing, so the next step i do is disable any Virus and Firewall protection pretty much anything that would have to do to stop my Internet connection and i still was unable to get connected, so i called my Internet provider who has still not gotten back to me on this issue, what is so funny now since it is 1:36pm eastern time i am able to get on now can anyone here tell why i would have had this problem. | no idea why that happened, but you're not the only one...... about a week ago, i had the same problem... my firefox said that was unable to connect, and it went on like this for almost the whole day .... but late at night, the website was finally available.... i was expecting others to post on this since i thought the website had been put down or something but when i saw posts from people who had been online during the time i couldnt get it, was when i realized, i had been the only one experiencing "down time" ![]() (ps. when i read the thread tittle, i thought you were going to come out of the closet) ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

| Dick Nervous i thought the same to so i tried rebooting my hub and router both and still got the same message saying page could not be displayed, What really puzzeld me is i could go on any website and surf with no issue just could not get on pcApex, i did finally get a hold of my Internet provider and they could not figure it out they had me do all kinds of test and they showed that i had a awesome connection, i told them where i been trying to get on and gave the the website name and they tried and they where able to get on with no issues, so it was back to the testing they still could not figure why i was unable to get on so they said they would have to have a top technician call me back to see if they could help, as of right now my connection to pcAex is great so when the tech does call i am not sure what i can tell them, i mean i will tell them what happen before and see what they say if it was something to do with the website itself or if it was a DNS problem, like i said before i was totally stomp on this and so was one of the representatives at my Internet provider. Ps, i just like to give thanks to Jobistober and Reza for trying to help me solve this problem on MSN. Last edited by ranger1033; 16-October-06 at 03:50 PM.. | ||

I am sure that Dick ment that any router between you and ApexPC was causing the problem .. even one at you ISP could have been routing it out to a dead router, until someone either bounced the program router or the other ones realized it was time to by pass it.

Ok i totally under stand what your saying , the thing what i forgot to mention is my friend i live with and next door neighbor has the same Internet provider as i do, so i went down stairs on my friends computer and it work and we are connected on the same line through the router, so now i went over to my neighbors place and i was able to pull up pcApex home page with no problem so that is what totally had me wondering if it was something on my end, between me and my friend and his wife we have 6 pc's and 2 laptops that are wireless and the only ones that where not working where mine both my 2 PC's and my laptop which i have been running wireless for awhile, now again this started from yesterday afternoon till around 1:30 today and when i got this mourning i went try it again and it was a no go, so i ask my friend i lived with if he would try it again and then he could not get on ether so i have no clue as to why or what cause this. Thanks you for you help. At least right as of now my Internet is flying and i can get connected to pcApex.

| Well it does not look like i am the only person that was having this problem i have been talking to project vegas on AOL IM and he is having the same issues and problems i had, would this be just a some kind of weird thing that the both of us are having the same issue, even Thu mine is working now and his does not. I do know that he also lives in NY but we both have different Internet providers, this is just one weird thing and i was wondering if anyone else here that lives in NY is having this same problem. | ||

| Try this if you haven't already. Open up a command prompt Start/All Programs/Accessories It should bring you up in C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName Type ipconfig /flushdns and press enter It should say Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache | ||
