Well I'm finally going fishing again. Last time we went about 30 miles out from Virginia, this time my dad, bro, and myself will be going out off of NC. Not as far mind you, but hopefully we'll catch something nice. Anyone been fishing around that area?

Last time I was 12 and hooked me a 400lb tuna....the size was quite surprising after having eaten it out of a little can for so long. I don't expect to catch as big fish this time but maybe some snapper or something would be cool. Going tonight. Woohoo. Can't wait.

Zennzzo - personally I have had bad luck with the chant you mentioned, always found "C'mer fishy fishy" worked better.

I spent a week out of Oregon Intlet on the Outer Banks last summer and landed 4 huge tunas... dude fishing out there is a blast... of course I am partial to Florida/Bahamas fishing, but that is lots of fun... enjoy!!! (PS its really wet out there, so dont bring your rig )

Dude, I'm only happy when I'm heading and cutting those slimy bastards for 16 or more hours a day, 7 days a week. Didn't even work today, we're hoping 'butt prices go down, or demand goes up. I don't want to hear about anyone doin' this - but the joke at the cannery is this, when you head a chinook, and put your finger in between the blood line and the gullet, it has an oddly familiar feeling. Ohh god I can't wait til the 1st when I go to Vegas, fish take up more of my thought processing power than women now. Infact - I forget what women look like underneith their clothes anymore.

Well I'm back. Not much to say I'm afraid. It ended up a little disappointing actually. We made the mistake of going on a 100ft boat with about 30 other people when we should have chartered a smaller private one and gone after the big'uns. We caught quite a few, except 90% weren't over a foot long. Biggest anyone caught was a 19lb grouper. My dad actually caught a 6ft tiger shark at the very end but had to cut it loose. Best part of the whole trip.

Now for the really sad news. My sister, who is 8, also came with us and managed to catch 3 times as many fish as I, plus 2 eels. I'm gonna be hearing this sh!t everytime anyone mentions fishing for the rest of my life! Son of a B!tch!

The trip was actually pretty nice though, all in all. I just love being out in the ocean.
