Sorry that you feel that way! I too agree that SiSoftSandy is inaccurate. However at the time, that's all I had to measure temps with.

If you have ever been to the Pacific NW, you would know that 15C. ambient is absolutly possible. I have an externally mounted rediator at the windows edge just to take advantage of the cool outside air.

Since that article was written, I have aquired a set of LianLi gauges. One probe is for ambient, another is fixed to the bottom of the CPU and he third is in the flow of coolant as one can see in the photo I attached in my first post. I suppose that is "doomed" too?

How then do you suppose that my cooler has been running problem free since Feb.2003? or maybe 6 mos. isn't long enough.

I have for all of my adult life, only spoke of things that I know to be correct as I see them, in my own experience (read-TRUTH).

To mark someones working example off as BS, is well, extremely small minded...Hell people thought Oriville should stay on the ground too.

I worked with Zen from the beginning of his foray into direct die cooling and brainstormed with him to work a few of the details out. It works, and works well.

As far as reliability goes, he has run it overclocked for almost 6 months now with nary a hiccup at all. I saw a mention of someone else who tried it who didn't have success. Well, I'm not insinuating anything, but a lot of research and effort went into Zen's project and he entered into it with a plan and knowing what the outcome should look like. If the other person fried some CPU's, well....guess the execution wasn't done correctly.

Don't call bull unless you are in the know. The folks on this forum pride themselves as experts in the field of cooling, yet I haven't seen that in this thread. I would have thought the response would be "Holy Crap! That's Great! How'd you do it without frying your CPU?" instead of "Bull! It can't be done and you are a liar." Poor form, boyo's.

After all he worked very hard copying all those designs. And spending copious amounts of cash in the process. Agreed...I do not like the fact he is intent on making this a ProForums/Pimprig fight when that is clearly not the case. It's a calm cool collected vs. asshat case. "I use type-K thermal couples because I clearly have WAY too much time on my hands and can't be trusted with a budget." I find it hilarious that he is a "forman" but can't spell it.

BA, it's useless to argue with such a prick. I know the kind. No matter what you say, no matter the proof, he is going to be a **** about it. If you leave the thread, he'll think he's won, but staying will prove only futile. It's a lose/lose situation. The biggest point he is missing: Regardless of temps, Zens cooler works. It doesn't leak. It allows good overclocks, so it HAS to be cooling efficiently. Such an awesome guy as JD should know that the higher the O/C, the more heat. This guy just makes me wann buttstroke his ass.

EDIT: I would like to see somebody build this diode reader, just so we can shut his ass up.

My intent at first , was to see what all the hoopala that Gamma was talking about when he posted in my thread on DD1.1.
So, I linked over and what I read was rediculous...Thinking (dangerous at times) I would add to the discussion that was quoted as being the same, without all the "senseless posts". Now I'm not copping out to, it being anyone elses doing, I have always owned my own actions, I really didn't think I was going to get that response. I didn't expect hugs and kisses either....
...being the sometimes hot head that I am, I have decided to keep my posting here at home and it will be their misfortune if they don't want to see what really does work.. I have unsubscribed to that forum and I will not contribute to their post count anymore...Good advise BA.
